WHITE SQUARE
Experience art beyond the frame
Fall/Winter 2024 season
For an artist, each new project is an exploration, a conversation with the material and the context. When Carré Blanc contacted me to mark their fortieth anniversary, I saw a unique opportunity: to bring my pictorial world into dialogue with the intimacy of the home. The idea of transposing the raw energy of the street, my graphic accumulations, and vibrant colors onto the softness of linens immediately resonated. Carré Blanc, with its long history and understanding of quality, offered an ideal platform for this unexpected encounter. For this Fall/Winter 2024 collection, my intention was to create two distinct yet complementary visual experiences. One, in black and white, explores the power of contrast and the purity of lines. The other, more exuberant, celebrates joy and vitality through a rich color palette. In both cases, I sought to subtly integrate Carré Blanc's codes—their iconic motifs—into my own artistic language. This collaboration is also a celebration. Forty years of existence for a brand deserves to be celebrated. I have therefore subtly scattered nods to this anniversary throughout the designs, a discreet way of paying tribute to this journey. Each piece in this limited edition is designed as a unique work, numbered to emphasize its exclusivity. I hope these creations will bring a new perspective to everyday objects, transforming the bedroom into a space where art and comfort harmoniously meet. This experience with Carré Blanc has been enriching, an opportunity to step outside my usual studio and reach a different audience. I hope this collection will find its place in your homes and, in its own way, evoke artistic emotion.
